Specifics on major cities and towns.
I feel as though those were important to mention, but aren't what we're discussing here. I'm talking about the big important places.

I have some very vague ideas, by the way, based on my old RPfagging. - A city found on a cliff, possibly containing the flying-type gym
- A teeming metropolis that actually floats along in circles on its strange little island.
- An isolated city based on unbelievably futuristic technology that whoever's inventing it all (the gym leader?) doesn't wish to share.
- An underground city that's more an experiment to try and get society and its inventions to function underground as they do normally.
- Something based off Venice, Italy. ...I just really like Venice, is all.

One idea was that there would be 5 towns/cities in 5 corners of the region, each with a laboratory that allows starter Pokemon from a specific region, and maybe an extra wildcard Pokemon. For example, one lab has the Kanto 'mons (Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu), another has Johto 'mons, and so on.
Though... this doesn't necessarily have to be followed. Some people would want more flexibility, especially if they wanted to create a character for the evil team or something like that.

I'd like a city based off of venice too. That would be nice.

So five labs based on the labs of the five regions? Definitely sounds interesting. Although I don't think trainers should have to follow the order at all. They should be able to start wherever the heck they want, lab or otherwise. Following a certain order isn't necessary either, I think.

And an underground city we shall have. Giha Village was a suggested name, too, and I'm cool with that, but does anyone else have suggestions?

Giha village is a reference to Gurren Lagann

Yeah, I think I disagree with the five starting towns too. I'll get rid of 'em in a sec.
Giha Village is an awesome ref. Calling Boota the Doryuuzu.

Is it? The more you know.
So that's one city decided. How about the one recommendation of having it underneath another city?

I like it having be under another city. That would be awesome.

Under another city, okay. Sounds cool. Should that city be gymless, since the one so close to (just under) it does have one?

I say give it a gym. The route can be a sewer and abandoned subway track. Either that, or a mine.

Having a sewer and an abandoned subway track sounds cool. Maybe in/next to the city could be a mine you could go into if you wanted? It could be filled with neat items and the like.
