Hey, I like Scott. I can imagine him appearing on TV and saying "Hey kids! If I could do it, you can do it too!" For Takeshi's badge, an earlier suggestion was 'Cog' or 'Gear' Badge which is alright, considering his first Pokemon being Gear. So why not make it that? Also I find it funny that Takeshi is Brock's Japanese name. Small world, huh? 8P As for filling out the other gym leaders, I'm putting up a placeholder for Fortuna shortly. I might also go with Eve for Tessla's mother, as I don't think I've seen any objections anywhere. Once again, I'd like to help out more but I've been kind of stagnating due to stress in my personal life. Hope you all understand. xD EDIT: It looks like we now have pages for all 18 Gym Cities, and the information for the gym leaders and badges is now all filled out on the Tatsu page in the wiki! Now, we just need to make some more wiki pages and expand. Disregard that, I suck cocks. There's still the Dragon gym leader. Unless we're going with the museum idea presented beforehand.

@ Godon: I like him though i think his backstory might be a little too 'baww' if you know what i mean. I think if that wear me and i were struck with all that but still managed to achieve so much id be the most arogant cock on the planet. Just a thought but i do like where you went with him. maybe just tone him donw a little. beckstar: I think i like gear beter than cog. We should go with that one. cephalgia: Dont worry, if you've got things going on in your personal life thats obviously more important. Taking care of that should come first

Scott is actually very closely based on my current debate teacher, who really has both of those conditions, and came down with Stihl's a few years ago. He is seriously one of the least arrogant people I know, and honestly a God-Tier person. I'm gonna work on the rest of him more tonight.

Also, I'll try to come up with stuff for the Dragon Gym leader and the rest of the E4.

So, I've been thinking about revamping Takeshi's background story a bit to better explain his Big Damn Hero complex. Suggestions? Comments? I just whipped this up real quick after watching way too much Durarara.
Takeshi always had a dream of joining the Ironclad police force. He thought they looked so cool flying across the pavement on their motorcycles, zig-zagging between cars as they chased down "perps", keeping smugglers out of the streets, and making sure big businesses didn't get too comfortable. To him, they were like superheroes.
Of course, as he grows up he learns how to ride a motorcycle, keeps himself in top physical condition, and his parents give him a komatana, since they're so often used on the police force, and he begins training steel and fighting types exclusively. He joins the force and is basically as over dramatic and serious as you can imagine.
Even with officers like Takeshi, with so much money circulating around the city, many of the cops - as well as other city officials - are on someone else's payroll. Rumors start circulating that SOLARUS is interested in coming to Ironclad and the gym leader (who I assume is also like a mayor or whatever, since that's how it seems to work in-game) is in their back pocket. Naturally, Takeshi won't stand for this and then we have the whole thing with him beating the gym leader and taking the position. Since he's already got a good standing within the community it makes more sense then "Hey, random person, thanks for beating up the gym leader. Why don't you take his job?" Also it explains why he's already got a plethora of steel types.

I want to type something bigger, but I can't, so I'll just say I really like this idea.

I can't take Jerome seriously. I just keep coming up with these mega hipster background stories. Like, as a teenager he decided that he was deep and that no one understood his absolute brilliance, especially his parents, but in reality his parents were pretty much just happy when he was happy and his short stories and song lyrics were just awful. To him, irony is an art form and he's in constant competition with his older bro an equally hipster friend to see who can be the most ironic. For example: he's a vegan and doesn't really like pokemon battling so he became a gym leader. He's a really awkward dancer and thinks clubbing is too mainstream, so his gym is a night club. etc. Naturally, he visits Dilentte all the time.
On a slightly unrelated note, we should also probably work on expanding Noire City in general.

Jérome Strider, now that is a thought I can't get out of my head. Pfft. But yes, we do need to work on Noire, which has been one of the coolest cities for me to imagine. The darkened streets and alleyways at night where you never know what will happen, and the thumping and lights of the clubs like islands in the abyss.
I imagine a guy who pretty much started out as the dorkiest person imaginable, who somehow found the only things he was good at (Dancin' and battlin') and used them to go from place to place, winning favor, but still has a few insecurities, which are symbolized by hiding behind sunglasses. Also, I imagined him as the tallest of the gym leaders, for some reason.

Sounds like you're on to something! Flush him out a bit more and lets see where you take the character.

I found a copy of the RBY ghost for whoever it was that wanted it. I might try my hand at making a pixel art version of the badges we know are canon to go with the ones ppl are using from the games. My shooping skills are crap though so if someone else wants to have a go too that would be awesome. Cephalgia could you post that pic of the badges again? It seems to have disappeared and I cant remember which ones we have set already...

I was playing the new Fallout Vegas game and I think we should base Oppenheimer's looks off Doctor Mitchell: There arent very many good pictures of him. But if we put a top hat on that shiny bald head I think he would fit right in as the gym leader of Eureka. Fallout wiki link: fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Mitchell

What I had for the badges thus far. Oppenheimer looking like that guy would be cool. I wonder if he and Blaine'd get along. I dunno what's up with de Lorme. His picture was broken all along, though at least the thumbnail worked. Now that doesn't work either.
