Seeing how our region is based off Hong Kong, one /tr/ainer suggested that Growlithe, Arcanine, Magikarp and Gyarados be important, sacred figures. Another suggested Paras and Parasect as well.

That could work. So that means I have a legendary? Awesome!

Or maybe like how Pastoria City reveres Croagunk, but on a regionwide scale?

I was the one who suggested Paras/Parasect. Makes sense, doesn't it?

Maybe Hariyama's and other bulky Pokémon, although not sacred, could be used in rugby-esque competitions, and it seems popular in Hong Kong.

Or maybe like how Pastoria City reveres Croagunk, but on a regionwide scale? I like that idea. Then buildings that are supposed to be more important, i.e. Solarus HQ or temples, could incorperate them into their architecture to show how important they are. Would that make these pokemon rarer in the region then?

I had a little idea. What if Tatsu had different coloured versions of Pokémon? Like with Gastrodon. For example, the white parts in Aggron would be a more of a grey colour, or Gengars could have blue eyes and be more pinkish, since there isn't so much pollution in the small island ghost Pokémon reside.

Sounds like a good idea to me. It'll be something to keep in mind when/if we start fleshing out where Pokemon appear in Tatsu.
